However, if she wanted to speak to me one day in the future with a desire to get her ears pierced, I do not think that I would stand in her way as she is now of an age that she can understand the procedure and also look after the piercings herself.

I have another friend who is so Goth it is not even funny! She has tattoos, piercings, jet black hair and wears pale make-up. Want to know what her job is? She is the receptionist at a very posh legal firm! How does she do it? Simple. When at work she wears neutral make-up. Takes out her facial piercings, wears long sleeves and put her hair in a fancy up do. She meets her boss's expectations and then does her own thing in her own time. Is she selling out? I don't think so. I think she is being a responsible adult!

I am a single, independent woman who is happy living my own version of bachelor life, but I won't lie there are times when I feel like it would be nice to have a man around. I am often asked if I get afraid living alone and in all honesty not that often. Sure there are times when a noise startles me from sleep and I have a moment of panic, but for the most part I am very comfortable in my home and in my own company. Of course when I say as much I am regaled with tales of how others could not live alone after all do you know how many women living alone are raped or murdered in their beds. My reply is always not that many actually! You see, statistically the numer of single households which are victims of crimes such as robberies and home invasion are equal for men and women. I'm no less more or no less likely to be attacked in my own home than my bachelor brothers!

It is actually necessary for both men and women who are living alone need to think about their home security. Some of the things you could think about are:
